NEWS FLASH…NEWS FLASH…NEWS FLASH…NEWS FLASH…NEWS FLASH!
Ever gotten something yucky on your hands while recycling…and desperately wanted to rinse your hands? Well, now you can at the Hal Flanders Recycling Center! We installed a rainwater collection system on the portable building and the tank is already full. Check it out on the back side of the building, facing Cemetery Road. Please use the water sparingly…the tank is totally dependent on rainfall to stay full. Thanks to the Freecycle community and others for donating all of the rainwater system components so that we have a no-cost water supply! This water is not sanitized, so please use it for hand-washing only. For more information on how you can collect rainwater at home, go to http://rainwaterharvesting.tamu.edu.
